Re: Pan Servo Not Working

It seems like the Servo is bad. Since you have to dissect to remove the servo you might as well take the servo apart once you get it out. Sometimes they are fixable. Only 4 screws hold them together. It could be as simple as the motor brush is not touching. Only two tangs hold the motor brushes back...

Re: Pan Servo Not Working

I pulled the wires out to show my pan connection. If I remember correctly it was a little confusing in the assembly manual.
It is possible that the servo is bad. You could plug in the tilt servo to see if it is the servo or the board.

Re: Cloud robotics demo code (now with actual code!!)

You are very welcome. Yes, it might be related to pi losing power during shutdown. Just take out the SD card from the Pi and flash it with your PC/laptop (assuming you have a card reader). I am using the latest raspbian image and flash it directly on the card so I don't have to use NOOBs after to a...

Re: Motor gearbox broken - part specs?

Does anyone have plans on how to adapt to even larger motors and wheels ?
I'm thinking carpeting or even outside.
I could see a carriage that has bigger motors/wheels along with additional batteries. The Spirit Rover plugs into the carriage and allows for expanded range and functions.

Re: Cloud robotics demo code (now with actual code!!)

Thanks again for this. I am eager to try but somewhere along the line my Raspberry Pi 3 image got corrupt so I have to rebuilt that first. Guessing it is the problem mention earlier in the thread of :" Also highly recommended to increase the shutdown delay to 10 seconds because I found the defa...

Re: volts.py output problem

I would be careful with rpi-update I did that before I started to play with the python software and now nothing really works. I had to do that several times as the Rpi software server kept timing out so things did not update and install correctly. First error on running the Python was that it could ...

Re: Alternative wheels for Spirit Rover

Love it.. Too bad we could not make these 2 or 3 inches in diameter to give better surface area but then we would have to re-do motor mounts and such. Ultimately I want to drive the Spirit Rover around my house remotely so I may have to design up a bigger system to have bigger wheels, hold more batt...

Re: Anyone heard anything bout RPi Guide?

Kevin commented in the Kickstarter comment section on 12/13/2017 : "Getting pretty close! Only about 50 units left to ship. The last production batch had lots of little solder errors on it and took forever to clean up. Really trying to get a proper update real soon. I plan to start running the ...
