Re: Please provide technical details.

I haven't had a chance to put together a list just yet but I intend to as soon as possible. I think it would be a good addition to the guide. If you're curious, you can look at all of the tabs that end in ".h". These are header files that define every function and is itself a pretty good l...

Re: Serial port not showing up.

Hey IWC- Sorry about that. I saw your email had been responded to, but it was when I sent you the list of questions. We're shipping another international batch of units tomorrow and I'll make sure you've got a replacement programmer on the way. Really sorry about that - this is the first case of som...

Re: Missing MiscHardware Library ?

cbw- Looks like the libraries are installed correctly by your image. Couple things to try... Always open the sketch from within the Arduino IDE by going to File>Open, or Sketchbook, or Recent. Arduino seems be happier this way - I've had compile problems if I just go into my file manager and double ...

Re: Serial port not showing up.

golfercacher- Try attaching the programmer to your computer while Ringo is not attached to it. Not sure about the "blinking bluish light". Where is the light located? Is it one of Ringo's white lights? If you turn on Ringo while not attached to the programmer, he should enter test mode - a...

Re: Different "channels" for IR remote?

Hey Jaults. That's a good question. The remotes are hard coded to send the same commands so they would interfere, but with the 20 keys I suppose you could code each Ringo to work with different keys? You could also do some editing in the IR handler where each Ringo would need 2 keys for a command, t...

Re: Serial port not showing up.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the updates! I'm glad to hear you guys are getting up and running. Sorry again for all the programmer hassles. We knew there had to be some kind of snag - I'm just glad it wasn't something more serious. :D DCHook - Sorry about the label. We figured some would get eaten by pe...

Re: USB drivers discovery

aEtherEater- Thanks so much for sharing this! You're the third person I've come across who had issues but going back to 2.10.00 specifically solved the problem. I have a technical contact at FTDI and as soon as I have a chance I'll bring this up with them. Sounds like an issue that should be easily ...

Re: Please provide technical details.

Hello 207-

We sure do. Been overwhelmed the past week getting the final batch of units out to Kickstarter but I'll post up in the morning.

Thanks!

Re: Replacing parts after normal use?

Hello Dennis, It's not exactly "easy" - I guess that will depend on how comfortable you are with soldering skills. You shouldn't need to replace anything though. There's really no reason why a sensor would go bad after use. You could possibly damage a motor by dropping the robot, etc. If t...

Re: Serial port not showing up.

Hey Mike, I'll add you to the list. If anyone else is having this issue, please send email to support at plumgeek dot com. I'm not sure how many people will be effected, and emailing in will make it much easier to track the cases and get them resolved. If you are experiencing this problem, please tr...
