Re: Buzzing noise.
I remember having the same problem even though I did the sequence on page 59. I then backed off the gripper a little (gear tooth ?) and it got happy. It does not take much extra pressure for the servo to be unhappy and start protesting by buzzing.

Re: Rpi controlling the pic : how do they communicate?
You may have to wait (like me (or us)) for a couple of weeks while Kevin and Nona play catch up with shipping 600 units. Then Kevin can focus back on the software and documentation aspect.

Re: spirit rover ... goes backwards.
If the your Spirit Rover demo performs like it does in the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnGBNoFt7Ok Then I would say the robot it wired correctly. What I did find out is that it will go into confused mode in light seeking mode continually backing up if the surface you have the Rover...

Re: Installing WiFi
I am guessing that Kevin has a plan down the road for having Bluetooth and Wifi duplicated on the Arduino control board. I believe it is so we do not have to be tied to the Raspberry PI 3 board down the road and still have those functions as well as Xbee/ZigBee. The campaign page eludes to some func...

Re: Installing WiFi
I am not sure a separate WiFi is really needed. The Raspberry PI 3 already has WiFi built in so in theory that could be used. There is a picture of the other WiFi installed on the campaign page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/plumgeek/spirit-rover-learn-raspberry-pi-and-arduino-the-fu/descript...

Re: Power
For those that are reading my previous question about charging Plum Geek wrote on the Kickstarter comment section : "Thomas - I must not have mentioned it (I'll have it in the full instructions for sure) but the robot recharges off of USB. Just plug a USB cable into the port and you'll see the ...

Power
Although I am having fun with my assembled Spirit Rover there is one big important thing missing from the kit. That would be a power supply to recharge the battery. It is not on the bill of materials and not mentioned at all in the manual. Once the battery drains the fun stops. I guess that makes ou...

Re: How to... newb
I am in the middle of my build. These parts are tiny. Having the right tools help. Suggest using a plastic coffee can lid , plastic shoe box lid or something along these line to corral the tiny screws. Using a Craftsman 41676 PH000x40 Phillips screw driver from a set of Craftsman 12-pc Micro-tech Ex...
