Kevin: why 8MHz and not 16MHz?

Good sleuthing! I can’t wait to try this!

Kevin should probably update his docs to reflect an Arduino pro, not an Uno.

I found all the docs for setting up avrdude to use linuxgpio AND add it as a programmer to the Arduino IDE, so pretty soon we should be able to do self contained programming.

Power consumption? Though the Arduino is pretty thrifty compared to the neopixels and the Pi...

Answer is clear now: RPi is a 3.3v device directly connected to the Arduino, so choosing a 3.3v AVR part avoids need for level shifting.
