Ringo won't power on ... dead?

So I finally got around to hooking up my new programming board (original one didn't work), and the Ringo is not powering up. No red LED, no sound when moving power switch forward.

I have the original version from 2015. I've tried connecting three different USB cables to two different computers (Mac & PC). I've tried connecting directly to the Ringo instead of through the programming board.

I wonder if my Ringo is dead? I tried uploading from Arduino and I get back an error that the programmer is not responding.

Hey positronic,

If the power switch was left turned on for a long time (like days or weeks) it's possible the battery was drained really low. When you plug a USB from a computer direct to the robot, do you get the charge LED turning on? If you have a volt meter, try to measure voltage on the under side of the battery tab (the part that sticks up with the metal shell on it). There are 2 gold circle pads on the underside of this where you can measure voltage on the battery. You may need to leave it plugged in for charging for a while. If this doesn't work, please contact us via the contact form on the website and we'll go from there.

Thanks!
