Re: Buzzing noise.
Edit: I see that in the process of my responding, Kevin already had, but I'll go ahead and leave my response here too. From what I understand, some buzzing from servos isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's basically constantly trying to hold its position. So if there's anything that could be causing a...

Re: Communication with Raspberry and Bluetooth
Francois, Kevin (Spirit's creator) mentioned in another thread that he is hoping to have additional documentation, including details of the Arduino / RPi communication up soon. He's been concentrating on getting the remainder of the units shipped out to the backers. It shouldn't be too much longer n...

Re: How to troubleshoot
Stefan, When you power up Spirit with the pre-loaded behaviors, it does beep and light up the eyes. Then it will sit there and not do anything, until you place you hand in front of the eyes. When the ultrasonic rangefinder senses something directly in front of it, it randomly performs one of several...

Re: Unable to Upload
I understand. The only reason I was able to answer the question easily is because I went through the exact same struggle... I was initially trying to use the Uno too. I think it was when I was digging through the Ringo instructions is when I saw the Pro or Pro Mini.

Re: Unable to Upload
Select the board "Arduino Pro or Pro Mini"
Then just below the board, set the processor to "ATMega328 (3.3V, 8MHz)"
Power on the unit, and then try your upload

Re: Spirit built!
Unfortunately it's not quite that simple. The default behavior code that your seeing is loaded on the Arduino side. You will eventually need the Arduino IDE in order to write your code for the Arduino. You can go ahead and download and install the IDE from the Arduino website: https://www.arduino.cc...

Re: Hardware Mods
Decided to go with the back mount for the wireless charger. My plan is, once I have access to the software side, is to use the camera to get close to the charging "target". Once Spirit is close, she'll spin around, and back up to the target using the bottom line sensors as a guide. (The ch...

Re: Hardware Mods
So, after testing the induction coils to make sure they were working, I hooked them up to the rover for proof of concept. And wireless charging was a success! Now I just need to figure out how I want to mount the coils to the rover. Trying to decide between mounting on the bottom of the rover, or ma...
